Adopt A VSF Orphanage - (In Development 2010)
The program is being designed to provide international awareness about the orphan crisis and HIV/AIDS to local students.
The students choose an orphanage to adopt in South Africa and Ethiopia that has a relationship with VSF.
The students will raise funds for their adopted orphanage over one year. The school will work together with Veronica’s Story to determine the needs and how their funds will be used to fulfill the needs.
The goals of the project are for students to:
-Set a goal for the amount they want to raise
-Identify needs they want to fulfill
-Develop a plan for raising funds
-Participate in an orphan and HIV/AIDS awareness seminar for the youth
-Increase overall orphan crisis and HIV/AIDS awareness
